AVOID Becoming A Statistic...

Be Sure to Have Trai Look Over Your Files Before Replication

Trai Forrester is the World's Acknowledged Leading Authority on DVD Studio Pro®

Trai got his start with DVD Studio Pro in the spring of 1999 when the program was known as Astarte DVDirector. Trai became the world's leading Astarte Dealer/Distributor by fall of 1999, traveling throughout the country, installing and training on the new system, helping bring in scores of early adopting studios into DVD Production.

Trai introduces the first (and still only) comprehensive DVD Studio Pro Scripting Tutorials disc in July, 2001.

Trai collaborates with John Brisbin Releasing the "TFDVDSP Engine",the first and still only, professional DVD Studio Pro Advanced Play List Project Templates - early 2002

Trai released the "TFDVD-9 Maker" the workaround to DVD SP's DVD-9 formatting bug - summer 2002'. For almost 2 years afterwards, it's the only way to guarantee a spec compliant DVD-9 in DVD Studio Pro®.

Trai led the development of DVDAfterEdit, beginning in Fall, 2002. The program was originally designed to extend DVD Studio Pro's capabilities.

Make Sure Your Clients' DVD Plays Well
in the Market...Before It Gets There

Trai Forrester has designed DVD Check Disc Proofing procedures so rock-solid, they should be standard in the industry to proof million run discs (they're not). And these methods are used on your DVD Check Disc, even if you're only running a thousand.

Prior to Player Bank testing your DVD Check Disc, TFDVD Research Labs' exclusive DVD Emulation (step-through of your DVDs' navigation programming), and inspection of your DVD's asset 'domain' placement, MEI DVD-Video Verifier® testing, and Eclipse ImageAnalysis® and Disc Read Performance Scan testing, help pinpoint and refine our Player Bank testing for you.

This battery of exclusive tests beforehand, allows us to zero in on and catch errors that other DVD testing facilities will miss... and remember, the replicator doesn't test for DVD-Video specification compliance, correct DVD authoring, playability, compatibility, usability, etc., at all.

It is Trai's 10 years of experience at the 'Spec' level of DVD that has identified the need for these preliminary procedures, and coupled with your specific DVD project testing requests, makes the most solid testing matrix.

The Player Bank:

At TFDVD Research Labs, we use these racks of players for everything; our major DVD Check Disc Proofing efforts, and we'll use some or all of the players to test out the DVD-R Release Candidate - to check compatibility in a number of the players concerning some disc asset feature or asset domain placement configuration, etc.

The Player Bank also comes in handy as a part of our preflight testing with DVD Authoring for DVD Producers package.

Several times a year, TFDVD Research Labs' Player Bank is enlisted in DVD authoring tool and similar corporate DVD product development.

Also, in the last several years, we've really upgraded the capabilities of the entire DVD industry with our Check Disc Proofing package. The combination of Eclipse® Disc Read Performance testing and the Player Bank, has time and again provided the documentation proving the need to redo entire replication runs, saving our clients from having bad discs make it onto the market.

Bottom Line: TFDVD Research Labs' standard Player Bank testing methods and procedures are unique and superior to those in use at West Coast testing facilities - and at less cost for almost 50% more players used in the testing.
